2024 Aorkuler Dog Tracker: Protecting the Escape Artist

Today I want to share a reliable dog tracker: the Aorkuler. I live in rural Virginia where cell phone reception is spotty. My dog is an escape artist, and even when he’s on a leash, he may still get away. To know where he is after he escapes, I purchased a dog tracker. But because of the weak cellular signal, neither Tractive nor Whistledog trackers could track my dog. I couldn’t check where my dog was on my cell phone. In frustration, I returned them.

When I thought there was no suitable dog GPS tracker for rural areas, I saw someone on Quora recommend the Aorkuler dog GPS tracker. I went through all the information about the Aorkuler. Unlike the Tractive and Whistle, it uses some radio technology to transmit location information. It can track a dog’s location in real time in areas with no phone’s signal. So, with no subscription fee required, I tried to give it a shot. I purchased this product back in March.

After fully charging the Aorkuler dog tracker, I immediately put it on my dog’s collar. Every day around 5 pm, the escape artist goes out to play on his own. He was very mischievous and would shake me off if I followed him! Before I purchased a dog tracker, I used to look out the window to see which direction he went. If he wasn’t home by 7 pm, I would go look for him in the same place he ran towards.

On the first day of using the Aorkuler tracker, I stood in the front yard, watching the direction my dog was running while checking the controller. When the dog first left the house, the controller screen kept showing nearby. After two minutes, the controller screen showed the dog’s direction and distance. I judged that he had gone to play at a lake in our area. I didn’t go out to look for the dog, so I don’t know if the location is accurate. However, I was satisfied that it was transmitting location data.

A month later, on a Saturday night, I noticed that the dog had not come home at 7:30 pm. I guess something happened to him. I grabbed the controller and went out to start looking for his location. I saw him to the north, about two hundred meters from me. There was a bush that the dog had never been in before. I followed the controller display to the north and the distance was closing in. After the controller’s screen showed nearby, I did reach the bush. But I saw no trace of the escape artist.

It was dark and I couldn’t see where my dog was. So, I turned on the switch for the night flash feature on the controller. I was hoping to find the dog by the flashing lights of the tracker. After turning the feature on, I saw the blinking LED lights in the bushes. I found that the collar the dog was wearing was hooked to the bush. The dog was unable to break free of the collar and the bush. His nose was also scratched while he was struggling in the bush.

I removed the collar and took him home to have his nose briefly sterilized. He was probably exhausted and was eating twice as much as usual. I wonder if he will venture into the bush again next time. I am delighted that the Aorkuler dog tracker can accurately locate dogs and transmit their location information in real time in rural areas.

I shudder to think if I hadn’t purchased the Aorkuler dog tracker, I would have been able to find my dog. I didn’t expect him to go play in the bushes. In sharing that the Aorkuler dog tracker keeps escape artists safe, I hope to help dog parents who also live in areas without cellular signals. I think it is the best dog GPS tracker if you live in rural areas or places with poor signals. All in all, I’m thankful that the Aorkuler dog tracker helped me find my dog. He’s mischievous and playful, but he offers to keep me company when I’m in a bad mood. I don’t know how I would live if I lost him.
